Abstract

This research applies to define the inaudible produced by the human being as sound and physical pollution under several aspects.
The aim is to engage in a dialogue with the notions of noise, sound and music in order to extract behavioral similarities that modify our society and their natural environments. The understanding of this field of research is confronted with a duality: that of the progress it represents. Intimately linked to technology and its development, a new world of sound is unveiled bringing with it legal, societal and environmental debates. The notion "inaudible" from the Latin inaudibilis "that one cannot hear", also takes the meaning of music in the songs of what is "unbearable, unpleasant to hear" two interpretations that find their place entirely in the exposed subject.

"For some noise for others music”

A new sound dimension emerges, requiring particular technical means to make audible the inaudible, bringing with it, an attempt to redefine the sound design through a rigorous and critical analysis. The visual aspect of sound is expressed in this research by the approach of cymatics allowing in fine to make tangible the formulated hypotheses.
